It's highly advisable to ensure your account remains in good standing at eBay, Amazon or wherever you might be selling your items. Therefore you'll need to be aware of the rules surrounding the use of Trademarks & Brand Names.
We've been doing this for a very long time so we've already encountered a range of problems along the way. To help you avoid the same mistakes that we've made in the past, we've compiled a list of Do's and Don't Do's below.

SECTION 1: TRADEMARK VIOLATION
A violation of Trademark is a serious matter when it comes to selling online and multiple violations can see your Marketplace Accounts suspended very quickly. To avoid running into such problems of your own, you need to understand exactly the Do's and Don't Do's when it comes to selling branded goods online.
DO sell genuine items only.
DON'T ever sell counterfeit goods.
DON'T use any of the following Trademarks in your Item Titles, Descriptions and/or Item Specifics;
- *Beanie (allowable only when used to describe a "Beanie Hat")
- Bubble Wrap
- Chap Stick
- Scotch Tape
- Super Glue
- Super Hero
The above list is of course non-exhaustive however it is compiled from our own internal database of Trademarks which;
- Resulted in a Trademark Violation in the past.
- Are commonly used to describe "other" or "similar" products to that of the Trademark.
Under no circumstances do we recommend that you use ANY of the above Trademarks when listing and/or describing your items for sale. You will not find any products in our Store containing any of the above Trademarks unless we have already obtained permission to use the Trademark from the Trademark holder. For you as an Official Partner, if we have already obtained this permission and have listed the item in our own Store, then you can rest assured that you will also have permission to the use the Trademark and will be able sell the item without concern since we regularly update this list if an when problems do occur.
SECTION 2: BRAND NAME MISUSE
Brand Name Misuse is most commonly the result of placing additional Brand Names in your Item Titles, Descriptions or Item Specifics which do not match the product you are selling. To avoid problems with Brand Name Misuse, learn from our Do's and Don't Do's when it comes to using Brand Names to describe the products you sell.
DO use the correct Manufacturer Brand Name for the item you're selling.
DON'T add any other Brand Names to your Item Titles or Descriptions.
DON'T use the wrong Brand Name in your Item Specifics Brand field.
DON'T use the Brand Name of a compatible product without "fits", "for" or "compatible with" before the Brand Name of the compatible with product.
Example: Griffin iPhone 7 Plus Case (this is Brand Name Misuse)
Example: Griffin Phone Case for iPhone 7 (this is allowed)
SECTION 3: OTHER LISTING VIOLATIONS
There are many rules to adhere to when selling online. Whilst the following violations are less concerning in terms the seriousness, you should always try to avoid them by following our guidelines. We've compiled a list of minor listing violations that you should be aware of.
Duplicate Listing Policy
DON'T use the exact same Item Titles on two or more active listings.
Used Clothing Policy
DON'T use any of the following words when describing Used items;
- Athletic Support
- Athletic Supporters
- Boxer Shorts
The above list is of course non-exhaustive however it is compiled from our own internal database of Words which;
- Resulted in a Used Clothing Policy Violation in the past.
- Are used to describe products that are not allowed to be sold as Used items.
Under no circumstances do we recommend that you use ANY of the above Words when listing and/or describing Used Clothing Items for sale.
